What counts as a study?
A study is one patient's imaging exam, counted once per calendar month however many covered models or re-runs touch it. Public or benchmark datasets don't count, and neither do quality checks on your own fixed test sets. Outputs of models derived from a covered model count when used in a product or service.
Where can the models run?
Startup, Builder and Growth may use the covered models inside your own products, including a hosted service or software you sell, as long as the weights stay on systems you control: your own servers, your own cloud account, your own internal tools. Delivering the weights themselves to others (installed software, devices, scanners, PACS, platforms run by someone else) is Enterprise / OEM only.
How does overage work?
Above the monthly allowance, Startup and Builder pay $0.15 a study and Growth pays $0.06 a study, billed from your quarterly report. Overage is capped: it never costs more in a quarter than moving up to the next tier would have, and for Growth it never goes over $7,500 a quarter.
What do we report, and can you audit it?
You send a count-only report each quarter, with no patient data, and keep records for 2 years. There is at most one audit a year, on 30 days' notice, by an independent accountant under a confidentiality agreement, limited to the licence records. If you under-reported by more than 5%, you pay the audit's reasonable cost and the unreported studies at the overage rate. Otherwise LunarWerx pays for it.
Who counts as a startup?
A company under 3 years from incorporation that has raised under US$2M of equity or convertible financing. Grants don't count. You self-certify at purchase and at each renewal.
How do renewing and cancelling work?
Monthly and yearly licences renew automatically until you cancel, at link.com or by email. The licence ends at the end of the paid period, or if a fee stays unpaid 30 days after it is due.
Which datasets trained the models?
The dataset schedule lists every training dataset with its licence and the credit it asks for. One chest X-ray pre-training set (BDCXR-3257) was downloaded under CC BY 4.0, and the download also carries a hospital Data Use Agreement that says non-commercial academic research only. LunarWerx follows the download record's licence.
Who sells the licence?
LunarWerx LLC, a Missouri for-profit company, is the licensor. Connections Global LLC sells the licences as LunarWerx LLC's authorised reseller. Link, from Stripe, is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, and your card statement starts with LINK.COM. Checkout asks for your company's legal name, a billing address and, if you like, a tax ID.
