Open the pictures from your own scan. Nothing is uploaded.
The disc or ZIP from your hospital opens right in your browser, on your own device. rAidiology also builds open research models, for education and research.
How it works
Find your files
Put the hospital's disc in a computer, or find the ZIP from the patient portal. A phone cannot read a disc.
Choose them
Pick the disc, folder or ZIP on the Open a scan page. Your browser reads the files where they are.
Look through the pictures
Pick a set, scroll through it, zoom in and change the brightness. Today it shows pictures only; it says nothing about what is in them.
Research models
Open models trained on public scans, for education and research. They are not part of the scan opener and they are not a medical device.

Run it on your own computer
Download one ZIP, unzip it and double-click a file. The same scan opener runs from your own computer, even with no internet.
Your scan stays yours
- The page reads the files on your own device and draws them on your screen. Nothing is sent unless you choose to donate a scan, and there is no account.
- The page does not use or keep your name. It reads your date of birth on your device only, to check you are 18 or older if you donate.
- No analytics, no cookies on the pages you use, nothing loaded from anybody else.
- To check, turn off Wi-Fi after the page has loaded and open your scan. It still works. Some browsers word the permission prompt as "Upload files to this site?"; nothing is sent.
Who we are
rAidiology is made by LunarWerx Studios, a small team of software developers. It is free for your own personal use, and for charities, schools, universities, public research, and public health and safety organisations. Clinics, insurers, law firms and companies building a product on it need a paid licence; the terms are in the licence.
